The games/wrath port
wrath-1.0 – client of wrath-darkplaces engine (cvsweb github mirror)
Description
wrath is the client for the wrath-darkplaces engine used in WRATH: Aeon of Ruin, a game that embraces the timeless elements of classic titles such as DOOM, QUAKE, DUKE NUKEM 3D, BLOOD, UNREAL and HEXEN and carries them into the 21st century. While this package and the game engine are open source, one still needs to provide the original game assets from WRATH: Aeon of Ruin, which is not open source. You will need to purchase the original game to use this package.WWW: https://github.com/Official3DRealms/wrath-darkplaces

+------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Running ${PKGSTEM} on OpenBSD +------------------------------------------------------------------------------- wrath ===== wrath requires the original game files from WRATH: Aeon of Ruin to work properly. These can come from the GOG.com or Steam versions of the game. If you have the GOG version, you need to use innoextract to extract the data: $ innoextract setup_wrath_aeon_of_ruin_ea_1.4.2_\(64bit\)_\(44508\).exe To start wrath, you need to run it in a directory containing the kp1 directory of the game or you can start wrath using the -basedir option with a directory containing kp1. For example, if you copy kp1 into a $HOME/.wrath directory: $ wrath -basedir $HOME/.wrath
